Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis

Abstract
Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis is a condition of benign inflammatory lesion involving synovial m-mbrane of joint, characterized by yellowish colored villous nodules of synovial membrane, and forme a by accumulation of cholesterol and hemosiderin.
--We have¢¥experienced a rare case of pigmented villonodular synovitis on the knee joint. The pa -nt who was 22 years old man, has been exhibited bulbulous suprapatellar bulging with dull pain on the eft knee joint.
Synovectomy through the anteromedial incision was carried out, and no recurrence of symptom as demonstrable in 2 years postoperative follow up.
A brief summary of literatures is reviewed.
